Missing Columbus statue

Every time I drive down Howard Street to the intersection with Bank Street I miss seeing the statue of Columbus.
This statue stood for 90 years, paid for by the nickels and dimes of the Italian community until it was defaced by some idiot and removed in the name of political correctness.
Maybe someday it can be restored to its rightful place.
