    Carney ‘puts us first’

I have lived in Old Lyme my whole life and I was proud to raise my children here. Our community is wonderful – kind people, environmentally precious, great schools, and reasonable property taxes. Our elected officials have a lot to do with keeping it that way and I commend Devin Carney for all he has done for us over the past eight years.

Devin is not originally from Old Lyme – he is originally from ‘across the river’ in Old Saybrook – but he quickly became acclimated with our community and its needs. He has been a stalwart advocate for stopping state government from imposing a statewide property tax and stopping a plan that would force Lyme & Old Lyme schools into a much larger regional district.

Devin has also been incredibly supportive of our local organizations including LYSB and the Florence Griswold Museum.

Devin is everything we need in our representatives in Hartford, and he puts us first. I am confident he will continue to do so and that is why he has my and my whole family's enthusiastic support and vote on Nov. 8.
