I’m Rich Gordon, a Democratic candidate for the East Lyme Planning Commission. I am committed to enhancing our community's future and one vital aspect of this vision is prioritizing public transit. Our town and our region deserves a robust public transit system that reduces traffic congestion, promotes environmental sustainability and increases accessibility.This includes projects like the proposed Shore Line East expansion, which my fellow candidate Nick Menapace wrote about in a letter to The Day.

As a member of the Planning Commission, I have always advocated for transportation planning that places public transit at the forefront and if re-elected, I will continue to do so. Public transit eases the burden on our roads, reduces air pollution, and fosters economic development.
