Re-elect Bordelon to Groton Town Council

She cares — whether it is small neighborhood parks with basketball courts; better playing fields and walking paths for Groton students and residents; well-marked coastal access; support of citizens’ committees on coastal resilience and sustainability; or town property re-use rules and procedures. It was Portia’s persistence, month after month, helping the residents of Branford Manor who were living in mold-infested apartments, that finally resulted in the Town and City of Groton taking action against the owners of Branford Manor. Portia researched the mold regulations of other states and went to Hartford to testify that Connecticut needed similar regulations. While the mold problem has not been fully solved, it has now reached the national level with Senator Blumenthal and Representative Courtney proposing stiffer mold regulations. Without Portia’s persistence, I doubt this would have happened. Re-elect Portia Bordelon.
