I ask for the votes of Lyme residents in the election for the Region 18 Board of Education. I’m a father of two Lyme children, director of a national non-profit, entrepreneur, artist and a lifelong community organizer.

As a volunteer, I’ve regularly worked in my kids’ classrooms, served as a PTA president, chaired Lyme’s Sustainable CT committee, and help regularly in my church and with Scouts. I’m running for the BOE because of my lifelong commitment to community and a passion for making our town even better.

First, I will prioritize giving students the tools for success on their unique paths in an increasingly challenging world. I will always put kids first. I value teachers as professionals and look forward to collaborating with educators to pave the way for student and teacher success. As a parent, I understand the importance of being validated and honored as partners in our kids’ education.

Finally, I will serve as a voice for diversity while standing up to the corrosive effects of nonsensical politics coming from those taking cues from politicians outside Lyme/Old Lyme. As its representative, I will prioritize Lyme’s values of self-expression and independence.
