    Stonington needs Chesebrough

This letter details my personal enthusiastic support for the reelection of First Selectman Danielle Chesebrough in the upcoming election. I am the Stonington representative to the U.S. Congress-authorized Wood-Pawcatuck Wild and Scenic Rivers Stewardship Council. During the past several years I have been involved with Chesebrough in several projects, including her success in obtaining grants to develop the Circus Lot, Pawcatuck Riverside Park and the Stillman Avenue mill property assessment. Also, Chesebrough is instrumental in pursuing grants to develop the Mystic River Boathouse Park.

Additional examples of Chesebrough’s Stonington efforts too numerous to mention are: crafting fiscally prudent budgets while maintaining one of the lowest tax rates in the region; food waste program diverting over 166 tons of food waste this year to a facility that converts it into renewable energy and compost; supporting Stonington High School’s Empty Bowls event fighting hunger; and partnership with the state in a well-deserved ceremony honoring Vietnam-era veterans. Stonington needs to keep Danielle Chesebrough as First Selectman by voting for her in the next election to continue the superior executive leadership she provides to Stonington.
