Unequal media coverage

Recently, WNBA basketball star Brittney Griner was correctly convicted of drug possession in Russia. The media went into overdrive protesting and the State Department went into negotiation mode. The athlete was soon traded for some Russian bad actors. Now over a hundred Americans whose only crime was being in the wrong place at the wrong time are hostages of Hamas. So where are the media elite agitating for their release? Does this minimal response reflect the fact that they are Jewish? Are the media like the leftist college students, antisemitic?
