Plastic LED sign on historic Quaker Hill Green?

Putting a tacky emergency alert sign on the Quaker Hill Green is an affront. We have been residents in Quaker Hill for 46 years and really like what the town has done with this historic property: picnic benches where walkers can sit and where people can enjoy a picnic lunch and relax. When Christmas season comes around, our town tree is fully decorated and a pleasure to enjoy. What a distraction to have an electronic traffic sign warning, “Don’t drink and drive,” in its place on our green. Just because it’s “free,” that is, an individual donation, does not mean the residents have to give up their rights and accept it.

Where is the town’s first selectman we elected to represent us? This is a bad idea being pushed on the residents of Quaker Hill. Put your plastic sign with your phone app somewhere else!
