Memorial Day duties

Memorial Day is a day celebrated to honor those who fought for these United States of America. The civilians and military have special duties to honor this holiday. In accordance with this day, there are parades in various towns with businesses closed. Flags are displayed from homes and different buildings. It is the beginning of a season for celebrating holidays, victories, joy, pride, peace and prosperity. Many American citizens gather together for social events justifying the importance of this historic holiday.
