Blissworks yoga community to disperse and renew

I write these words with a heavy heart while trying to reconcile that Trish Reyburn, creator and owner of Blissworks Yoga & Healing Arts, has been forced, through no fault of her own, to close the doors of her studio after 20 years.

Many thanks to Trish for her perseverance, wisdom and kindness. I can’t begin to imagine how many lives she has touched. It’s uncanny how the word “sanctuary” keeps coming up from her students and friends, colleagues and even the local media. A sanctuary is truly what Bissworks was for our kula, or yoga community — a place to land and be our true selves; to leave the harsh world behind for a little while, and join in spirit with like-minded people who pursue better health.

Best wishes to the current Blissworks teachers and healing arts staff as you spread out and find new bases to practice from. Fellow students and Bliss Family, we will always share this spark that Trish has kindled. Despite being scattered now, we are all petals from the same lotus and will hold that gift as we disperse.
