Connecticut seniors pay taxes on social security income

There was an interesting article in the June 2024 AARP Bulletin, "Does your state tax Social Security Benefits?" It reported that there are only 10 states who tax some, or all the Social Security payment as income. And, of course, Connecticut is among those 10 states. This seems like an excellent place to relax some of the financial burden on the senior citizens of this state. I would encourage the local legislators to look into this matter and initiate actions required to repeal this unnecessary burden. The time is right. It is election season. Be the first to support seniors.
