New London - A bird flies past the Uss Deep Quest as it is moored off of the Custom House Pier in New London on Tuesday. The boat was towed to its present location Monday night by the U.S. Coast Guard after the vessel broke down off shore.

The Uss Deep Quest is owned by John Re of East Hampton, Long Island, who bought and named the 42-foot-long boat seven years ago on Ebay for $70,000.
