Under designer Christophe Decarnin, French fashion house Balmain has made military-inspired wares feel fresh and timely. But we're not talking stuffy peacoats and bulky cargo pants. Instead, the runways featured bold embellished jackets, uber-sexy leather utility pants and feminine basics in a palette of olive, bronze and black. Translate the trend into your everyday wardrobe with sharply tailored toppers, rugged safari-style shirts and accessories that flaunt a bit of toughness.
