Norwich — Parking restrictions and a parking ban will be in place along Broadway Saturday for the annual firefighter and emergency service personnel Mass.

The ban will start at 2 p.m. Saturday and includes: east side of Washington Street from the Chelsea Parade South to Williams Street, Broadway from Chelsea Parade South to Washington Street and Perkins Avenue 350 feet in from Broadway.

Traffic will be rerouted starting at 3 p.m. There will be no traffic on Chelsea Parade North and South and no southbound traffic on Broadway near the Chelsea Parade.

At 3:45 p.m., southbound traffic on Broadway will follow the procession and then be diverted onto Broad Street until the roadway is clear. Northbound traffic on Broadway will be diverted onto Otis Street.

Anyone attending the 5 p.m. Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral should park at the rear of the church.
