One Last Look

When we selected our favorite photos of 2009, we were struck by the wealth of great art we've collected over the past year. We managed to whittle the list down to our five favorites this year, and it is our pleasure to present them to you again as 2009 draws to a close. Favorite photos for us tend to be straight-on beautiful, funny, touching, or impeccably timed-they tell a story with no words and generate instant emotion.

We hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed collecting them. Happy new year from all of us at The Times.
