Library group's 15th anniversary commemorated
Groton - To commemorate its 15th anniversary, the Friends of the Bill Memorial Library is hosting historian Jim Streeter, who is also the town's mayor, to speak about the history of Fort Griswold and its monument.The event, set for tonight at 6:30, will take place at the library, located at 240 Monument Street. Streeter will discuss the history of the fort and display old photographs from his collection.

Copies of Streeter's book, "Groton - Historical Bits and Pieces," will be available to purchase, with proceeds going toward the Bill Memorial Library.
