Payne elected president of Marine Educators
Diana Payne, Connecticut Sea Grant's Education Coordinator, has been voted president-elect of the National Marine Educators Association (NMEA), and will take on this position in mid-July.
Payne, who is a graduate of UConn's Neag School of Education, has also been invited to give a keynote speech on Ocean Literacy at the International Pacific Marine Educators Network biennial conference in Sigatoka, Fiji. She has been a member of NMEA since 1996 and is completing a term on the Board of Directors.
