East Lyme senior wins Nick Woviotis Memorial Scholarship

Kevin Taylor Renshaw, a senior at East Lyme High School, is the winner of the 28th annual Nick Woviotis Memorial Scholarship Award. The presentation will be made at the awards dinner scheduled for May 25 at the Italian Dramatic Club on Goshen Street in New London.

Renshaw will receive a $2,000 scholarship and an additional $1,000 during the remainder of his college career. Others receiving awards will be Sara Elisabeth Weller, Allison Kate West, Peter Bonanno, Ashlee J. Hollis, Caroline Margaret Dempsey and Michael Patrick Doherty.

The awards dinner will start at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour followed by a dinner. Tickets are $20 and may be obtained at Thames Barber Shop, the Italian Dramatic Club, or by contacting C. George Kanabis at 320 State Street, New London, CT, telephone number (860) 442-8506. Tickets will also be available at the door.
