Torch Run Winds Through Madison on Friday

The Madison Police Department will participate in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to Benefit Special Olympics on Friday, June 8.  The five and a half mile route for Madison Police Department runners and Special Olympics athletes begins at the Clinton town line around 12:25 p.m. and ends at the Guilford town line at 1:25 p.m..  The route will be run entirely along Boston Post Road.  The runners will enter Madison town center at approximately 12:45 PM.

Please show your support by cheering on the Special Olympic athletes and Madison Police Department officer as they carry the “Flame of Hope” on its 530 mile journey across Connecticut raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics.  Please also show you support for the numerous Madison businesses that generously supported the Torch Run by making donations to the “Adopt-A-Mile” program, making them eligible to have a “mile marker” placed along the route.
