No parking in much of downtown Mystic on Friday

Mystic – Much of downtown will be under a temporary no parking order all day Friday as paving continues on West Main Street and portions of surrounding streets.

Groton Town police said West Main from the drawbridge to High Street and portions of Bank, Pearl, Gravel and Water Street will be under the no parking order from 4 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday.

Police said all downtown buildings will be accessible during the road paving. Police said to expect traffic delays through downtown Mystic.

Free public parking of up to five hours will be available in the Mystic Art Association Lot.
