Stonington police union sponsors fundraiser to benefit family

Stonington — The Stonington Police COPS Local 137 will co-sponsor a pasta dinner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 at the Westerly Elks Lodge on Dixon Street that will benefit the family of Officer Christopher Murray whose four-year-old son Dorian is undergoing cancer treatment at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence.

Also helping sponsor the dinner is the Westerly and South Kingstown, R.I. Elks lodges.

There will also be a DJ and a raffle. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and can be purchased at the door. Proceeds will help offset the costs being faced by the Murray family.
