Norwich – Dr. Bernie Siegel, a nationally recognized inspirational speaker and author, will be the keynote speaker at The William W. Backus Hospital’s Cancer Survivors Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 6 on the hospital grounds.

Siegel is an advocate for patient empowerment and living life to its fullest every day. Throughout his career, he cared for and advised numerous patients whose lives were threatened by illness.

In May 2011, Siegel was honored by the Watkins Review of London as one of the Top 20 Spiritually Influential Living People on the Planet.
