Groton — From 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Groton Public Schools and Discovery Education will host an interactive community night of discovery to showcase the digital media and technology tools being used in the district’s classrooms.

Public school teachers and Discovery Education representatives will lead interactive sessions to provide families and community members an opportunity to see the hands-on and digital resources that are transforming classrooms.

From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, there will be an interactive “Day of Discovery,” professional development event for New England-area educators and administrators. During the event, attendees will learn creative ways to engage students and invigorate curriculum using the latest innovations in teaching and learning.

Both events will be held at Fitch Senior High School at 101 Groton Long Point Road.
