Norwich - The U.S. Postal Service will hold a community meeting Wednesday on the future status of the Yantic Post Office.

The Yantic Post Office closed in February under an emergency order after a safety issue emerged that resulted in a police investigation.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the Yantic Fire Engine Co. No. 1, a short distance from the tiny post office building at 131 Yantic Road.

Representatives from the postal service will be at the meeting.
