    Four men arrested in Groton fight involving a knife

    Groton – A fight in the area of Eastern Point Liquors Saturday night resulted in the arrest of four men on breach of peace and weapons charges.

    Groton City police said the owner of the Eastern Point Road store called at about 7:50 p.m. to report a fight involving individuals with one or more knives. When police arrived, they found one of the men had facial injuries from a punch, but he declined treatment. Knives were displayed during the fight, police said.

    Michael Williams, 57, of 309 Crystal Ave., Apt. 16E, New London and Guillermo Ramos Jr., 53, of 207 Brandagee Ave. were charged with second-degree breach of peace and the carrying and sale of dangerous weapons.

    Devon James Brindle, 20, of 207 Brandagee Ave. and Richard Booth, 50, of no known address were both charged with second-degree breach of peace. Those involved in the fight were co-workers engaged in a dispute about an issue at work, police said.
