Annual Father-Daughter Community Dance benefit slated for Jan. 25

Stonington  — The fifth annual Father-Daughter Community Dance, held to benefit Mystic Area Shelter and Hospitality, will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25, presented at Pine Point School. The dance is open to the public.

The goal of this event is to foster positive relationships in a safe environment for young ladies, (ages 3 to 16), in our community with their respective masculine mentors, guardians, or family members, according to the school.

Girls and adult male guests, (father, uncles, grandfathers and friends), are invited. Dress is semi-formal: coats and ties for men and dresses and dance shoes for the girls. No jeans or sneakers.

Music will be provided by Zingerz, featuring Pine Point 7th grade teacher David “Doc” Smith.

No entry fee is required but a $30 donation per family is suggested. Last year more than $1,000 was raised for MASH.
