    Early childhood screenings in Waterford

Waterford — Early childhood screenings are scheduled for all three and four-year-old children living in Waterford.

Screenings, taking places at all three elementary schools, are scheduled for Jan. 29 and will be performed by a team of specially trained staff members.

Early childhood screening assess the development of each child in areas that are vital to the learning process, such as language, gross and fine motor and social skills. During the screening, children will participate in a variety of planned activities and parents will have the opportunity to ask questions about their child’s performance and development.

Each screening session will last approximately one hour. Parents are encouraged to call the elementary school that their child would attend to make an appointment or to receive additional information.

Additional early childhood screenings will be offered again in April.
