Superintendent of Norwich schools launching show on access cable

Norwich — School Superintendent Abby Dolliver will have a new venue to communicate with parents and residents.

“The Abby Dolliver Show,” a monthly public access TV show, will debut Feb. 11. Kelly Middle School teacher Tom St. George suggested the show, with Dolliver and Curriculum Director Joe Stefon as co-hosts. The first show was taped this week and will air at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 on Channel 14 on the Comcast Norwich cable system. It will be rebroadcast on Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m.

The March show guest will be Board of Education Chairwoman Yvette Jacaruso. Dolliver said while the initial shows will be taped, eventually she hopes to air the shows live and allow residents to call in with questions. Until then, she encourages parents to email her with questions for upcoming shows at adolliver@norwichpublicschools.org.

The show will air on the second and fourth Mondays of the month so as not to conflict with live City Council broadcasts. Students from Kelly Middle School made the banner that will be displayed during the show.
