New London — The New London Elks, Lodge 360, will host its annual Firefighters Day Sunday at the lodge, 81 Washington St.

Firefighter and paramedic of the year awards will be presented to the following as selected by their peers:

New London Fire Department: Chief Ronald Samul; L&M paramedic Stephanie Archambault: and Mohegan Tribal Fire Department firefighter Ronald York.

Waterford: Jordan firefighter Timothy O'Neill; Quaker Hill firefighter Marcus Milukas; Goshen firefighter, the late Larry Cochran Sr.; and Oswegatchie firefighter Justin Sylvestre.

East Lyme: Niantic firefighter Michael Nebelung;

Montville: Montville Fire Department firefighter Randall Grout; Oakdale firefighter Arthur Brooks; and Chesterfield firefighter Michael Lewis.

A social hour will be at noon followed by a prime rib dinner at 1 p.m. Awards will follow.

Tickets are $20 per person and may be purchased at the Elks or at any of the participating fire departments. The public, family and friends are encouraged to join the celebrating. Tickets will also be available at the door.
