East Lyme — The school district is hosting a second community forum on school safety at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the high school commons. The district held its first school-safety forum in December.

In addition to hosting community forums, the district is conducting a school security audit. Town emergency personnel also performed an emergency drill in conjunction with school staff at the high school last month, according to a letter from Superintendent of Schools James Lombardo to the school community
