Easter, spring festival to be held Saturday in Norwich

Norwich – Three downtown entities will host a spring and Easter event Saturday at the Howard T. Brown Memorial Park, including an egg hunt, photos with the Easter Bunny, storytelling and “touch a truck” with a Norwich fire truck.

The event begins at 11 a.m. with an egg hunt for children ages 2 and older. Families are asked to bring baskets or bags to collect eggs. Photos with the Easter Bunny and face-painting will be available at that time, and Norwich Fire Department will bring a fire truck for children to examine close-up.

At 11:30 a.m., Otis Library will hold a storytelling session at the park.

Also Saturday, Otis Library at 262 Main St. will host its annual spring crafting event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Brown Park event is co-sponsored by Otis Library, the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce and the Norwich Community Development Corp. NCDC will provide participants with brochures of downtown restaurants giving their hours and highlighting “family friendly meal” items.
