New London - Expecting and new parents from throughout the region are invited to a free community baby shower Saturday,  from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Baker Auditorium at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.

A tour of L+M’s Labor and Delivery Unit will be part of the program. Other information and presentations will be available from doulas, yoga instructors, massage therapists, photographers and support groups. Attendees can also enter raffles and receive giveaways.

“This is a great chance for expecting or new parents to gain access to a wide array of information on pregnancy, baby care, community resources and hospital programs – and it’s all conveniently located in one place at one time,” Karen Stone, nurse manager of L+M’s Labor and Delivery Unit, said in a news release.
