Annual CROP Hunger Walk to be held May 5
Norwich – The 3.5-mile annual CROP Hunger Walk will be held Sunday, May 5 at 1 p.m. starting at Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, 294 Washington St. in Norwich.
The walk through Norwich will start and end at Lee Memorial Church, which is sponsoring the event in collaboration with other churches and organizations.
CROP Walks are community events that raise money to fight hunger at home and around the world and locally. This year, 25 percent of the funds raised will go to the St. Vincent De Paul Place soup kitchen in Norwich.
Last year the Norwich CROP Hunger Walk raised $6,055, with $1,513.75 given to the soup kitchen.
