New London — A group that promotes peace and is planning a week of games for youth and a job fair for adults this summer, is inviting the community to free brunch Saturday to learn more about the August events.

Al Wilson, a former New London resident is hosting the 10 a.m. brunch at New London Plaza Hotel on Gov. Winthrop Boulevard.

"We are inviting people so we can hear concerns about the community and ask them to join us in putting on these events," Wilson said.

The event, which Wilson called "The International" will be held Aug. 4-10 at various locations throughout the city and will be free and open to the public, Wilson said.
