Salem - The Yankee Institute for Public Policy, a think tank based in East Hartford and chaired by former U.S. Rep. Rob Simmons of Stonington, will hold a presentation in town Thursday.

The institute’s executive director, Fergus Cullen, will answer questions about the states economy. The presentation’s topic is “Where do we take Connecticut from here ... and how?”

The event will be held at the Congregational Church Educational Building at 260 Hartford Road, next to the church. The presentation and will be held from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
