East Lyme - The Niantic Rotary Foundation is asking charitable nonprofit organizations in the region to submit applications for grants up to $1,000.

The applications must describe the specific purpose of the grant with measurable goals and outcomes, confirmation of the organization’s tax status, its vision or mission statement and a budget and timeline for the project.

Applications received by Aug 15 will be given consideration for 2013-14. Those  received after Aug. 15 will be held until March 15, 2014 for a possible second round of grant considerations. Organizations chosen to receive grants will be invited to a luncheon this fall to present their respective agency and the purpose of the grant. Applications should be submitted in writing to the Donations Committee of The Niantic Rotary Foundation, P.O.Box 339, Niantic, CT 06357. More information about the club is at www.nianticrotary.org.
