Preston – Cynthia A. Luty filed a petition Wednesday to become an unaffiliated candidate for Board of Education on the Nov. 5 election ballot.

Luty will join Democratic Town Committee endorsed candidates incumbent Pauline Andruskiewicz and newcomer Karin Davis and Republican endorsed candidates incumbent Charles Raymond and newcomer Karin Davis on the ballot.

Luty could not be reached for comment Wednesday.

Four positions on the board are up for election this year.
