Volunteers to sew sleeping bags for homeless
Norwich – The Greater Norwich Anti-Bullying Coalition is looking for volunteers and donations for its annual Ugly Sleeping Bags Project Nov. 9 and 16 at the United Congregational Church at 87 Broadway.
Volunteers will collect blankets and will sew sleeping bags to donate to local homeless programs. The project is looking for volunteers to sew and help coordinate the activities.
The group also is accepting donations of slightly used, clean blankets, personal hygiene products, gloves, hats, scarves and hand and feet warmers. Drop off items at the Salvation Army, 262 Main St., Norwich.
