    Deer hunting announced for Lyme

    Lyme – On weekdays starting Nov. 20 through Dec. 24, 11 preserves owned or managed by the Lyme Land Conservation Trust, the Nature Conservancy or the town will be open for deer hunting and closed for other activities.

    Hunters must have valid consent forms from the town’s open space coordinator. The maximum number of permits have already been issued.

    The preserves will be closed for hunting on Saturdays and Sundays and open for other activities.

    Affects preserves are: Jewett; Mount Archer Woods; Eno; Plimpton; Beebe; Slawson; Chestnut Hill; Honey Hill; Hand Smith; Pickwick’s; and Banningwood.

    Hunting is not allowed on these preserves, which will remain open for other uses: Hartman Park; Young; Selden Creek; Pleasant Valley; Walbridge Woodlands; Roaring Brook; Patrell; Grassy Hill; and Sterling City.
