It's a Raking Extravaganza

Join the last-of-the-season Essex Land Trust outing Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to noon, when volunteers will make the Cross Lots Preserve look beautifully clean for winter. Volunteers should bring their own rakes and/or blowing equipment and dress warmly. All ages and abilities welcome. The Cross Lots Preserve is located at 40 West Avenue, diagonally across from the Essex Library. Park on West Avenue or behind Town Hall. For more information, call Tom Rutherford at 860-767-9474. Refreshments served. The rain date is Sunday, Nov. 24 at 1:30 p.m.
