MPD Offers Free Gun Locks to Residents

In the interest of safety, the Madison Police Department is providing free gun locks to Madison residents who own firearms that are not already safety secured. Even if guns are locked in a gun safe, a gun lock is extra assurance that no tragedy occurs.

Gun locks will be available from the Records Department during normal business hours or from dispatch after hours and on weekends. Residents are encouraged to stop by the Madison Police Department at 9 Campus Drive at any time.
