Milling and resurfacing of Route 148 in Lyme
Lyme — The state Department of Transportation has announced that it will mill and resurface 1.6 miles of Route 148, or Ferry Road.
The milling portion of the project is slated for May 19, and resurfacing is scheduled from May 20 through May 22. Construction will take place between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The DOT said motorists can expect lane closures on Route 148 between State Service Route 431 (Geer Hill Road) and Route 82, according to a news release. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The department is asking motorists to maintain a safe speed when driving in the area.
The DOT also said it may need to change the schedule due to weather delays or unexpected conditions.
