Waterford —Gary Henriksen and Thecla Abbiati turned over the bowl of dough as Judy Strutt helped ease it out of the bowl as volunteers at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Quaker Hill baked hundreds of loaves of babka, Polish sweet bread, during an all-day baking marathon Friday. Five hundred loaves of both the traditional raisin babka and a braided cinnamon sugar bread will be sold at the church's annual Christmas fair and bake sale Saturday.
