Brownie is a beloved 11-year-old chocolate Lab who resides in Ledyard with her owners Kay and Jeff Nixon and my grandkids Kelsey and Mitchell (pictured). Brownie greets me at the door with her tail wagging like a propeller and gives me kisses while checking my pockets for biscuits. She loves camping and helping Kay with the Small Fry Day Care. She keeps Jax the black cat in line as well as 6-month-old pups Bella (a black Lab) and Geno (a yellow Lab) who have joined the clan. She really has her paws filled training those tykes. With Christmas soon upon us and delectable aromas from the kitchen, she will be very busy as “cookie tester.” After a busy day, she curls up in her comfy bed for a good night’s rest. She is a loving sweetheart whom I dearly cherish.
