Mystic — The crew of the schooner Amistad got started power-washing the hull after hauling the vessel out of the water at Mystic Seaport's H.B. duPont Preservation Shipyard on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015.
Discovering Amistad, the new nonprofit created to take the ship out of state receivership and operate it going forward, officially took ownership of the vessel in November.
