    Panel discussion about opioid epidemic offered by Hartford HealthCare

    Enfield — Jeff Hatch, a former New York Giants player recovering from addiction, will be among speakers at a panel discussion at Asnuntuck Community College on Sept. 29.

    The forum, sponsored by the Hartford HealthCare Behaviorial Health Network, will take place from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the college auditorium at 170 Elm St.

    Along with Hatch, speakers will include: Sarah Howroyd, co-founder of the CT Heroin/Opioid Prevention and Education (HOPE) Initiative; Jennifer Kelly, founder of Justice's Fight; Karen Colt, program director at Natchaug Hospital's RiverEast Treatment Program in Vernon; and members of the Enfield Police Department. Patricia Rehmer, president of the Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network, will be the moderator.
