    Car, foot chase leads to drug arrest in New London

    New London — Police say they seized more than 1 pound of marijuana during the arrest Friday of a New London man who allegedly led officers on a brief motor vehicle pursuit followed by a foot chase.

    Nathan Harden, 45, of 373 Jefferson Ave. faces drug and vehicle charges after his arrest near Broad Street and Ledyard Street following the pursuits, which police said occurred about 2 p.m. Friday.

    Police charged Harden with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, interfering with police, first-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.

    Police said the arrest led to the seizure of approximately 1.1 pounds of marijuana.

    Harden was being held on $150,000 bond pending his arraignment.
