Mystic — Arild Nilson, front, and Pat Nelson apply bottom paint to the Draken Harald Hårfagre on Wednesday at Mystic Seaport's H.B. duPont Preservation Shipyard.

The Draken is a large replica Viking longship built in the municipality of Haugesund, Norway, starting in 2010 and sailed to the New World in 2016. It has been at Mystic Seport since arriving there in October of 2016 and will set off on a tour of East Coast ports in the summer of 2018.

The ship was hauled out for maintenance on Tuesday and is expected to be back in the water by next week.
