East Lyme — Road paving is expected to take place along Main Street and West Main Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and will continue during those hours throughout next week.

Sections of both streets will be paved in two-day increments and residents should expect delays, though road closures are not expected. Residents are asked to avoid the intersection between route 156 and Black Point Road from Friday to Oct. 31, as paving takes place there. Residents leaving Black Point are asked to exit the neighborhood by way of Fairhaven Road.

Paving will not take place near the entrance of Niantic Center School between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. and 3 and 4 p.m. Friday through Oct. 31.
