“A Night of Legends, Myths and Haunting Tales” will grace the New London Senior Center at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, featuring storyteller Henry “Hank” Savin and with a Halloween theme.

Savin’s stories come from actual historic events though they are filled with sightings of apparitions.

Savin as a storyteller focuses on Jewish folk tales, maritime stories, Russian tales and American folklore. He worries about families losing their heritage to the passage of time and suggests people recording stories, transcribing them and placing them in binders that can be updated as more tales occur.

The New London’s Senior Center is at 120 Broad St. The program is presented by the New London Senior Affairs Commission.
